The Advanced Research Computing team would like to congratulate Health Research Project Manager, Scott Baker, on his receipt of the Dan Chase Distinguished Service Award from CARA (The Canadian Association of Research Administrators) this past June. Scott was recognized for his participation in CARA, its conferences, and information seminars. His past contributions include serving as the leader of the CARA IT Special Interest Group, delivering presentations at the CARA National Conference in 2017/18, and orchestrating five educational webinars for CARA.
The Canadian Association for Research Administrators is an organization established with the mandate of supporting, inciting, and recognizing excellence in research administration in Canada. The Dan Chase Distinguished Service Award is named in memory of Dan Chase, who played an active role in the Association over a number of years. The Award has been established to recognize CARA members whose services have been of significant benefit to the entire organization.
