For all CFI applications including more than $25,000 in computing infrastructure (including hardware and software), researchers must consult with the ARC team regarding their technical specifications and plan for the computing infrastructure.
CFI requires that all High-Performance Computing infrastructure be housed and managed by the Digital Research Alliance of Canada, and the ARC team can facilitate this at UBC by working with groups on the Point Grey and Okanagan campuses, as well as the affiliated hospitals.
If you are working on or thinking about putting together a CFI application including computing infrastructure, please contact arc.support@ubc.ca as soon as possible to get this process started.
For more information on the CFI process at UBC, please contact the Institutional Programs Office.
