UBC Advanced Research Computing (ARC), working closely with the Learning Technology Innovation Centre (LTIC), is excited to announce the launch of a multi-year, multi-phase investment to modernize the university's digital research infrastructure.
This initiative supports UBC’s Strategic Directions 2025-2030, particularly the priority to Excel in the Development and Applications of Emerging Technologies.
Through this investment, ARC is renewing and expanding its existing digital research infrastructure to support evolving research needs, including data-intensive and emerging technology workloads such as artificial intelligence. This work builds on UBC’s established computing and data platforms and will be delivered in phases, with new capacity and capabilities introduced over time.
ARC is working closely with LTIC, which is introducing complementary services to support faculty exploration and application of AI in teaching and learning. For faculty interested in teaching and learning applications of AI, visit the LTIC website to learn more about available services.
Further updates will be provided as new infrastructure and capabilities are brought online.
