UBC Advanced Research Computing (ARC) is offering two upcoming virtual events designed to support researchers at all stages, from those curious about ARC services to those looking to build technical skills in digital research infrastructure.
UBC ARC Information Session

This one-hour session is intended for researchers and research support staff who are interested in learning more about ARC. It will provide an overview of ARC services, including computing and storage resources, research cybersecurity support, and how ARC supports research across disciplines at UBC.

2026 UBC ARC Summer School
June 1–5, 2026 | Virtual
2026 ARC Summer School is a week-long program featuring a mix of foundational and applied sessions delivered by ARC staff and external partners. Sessions are optional, and participants are welcome to attend those most relevant to their interests.
Topics include:
Getting started with UBC ARC compute resources
Parallel computing and deep learning with MATLAB
Quantum-enabled environments, embedding model fine-tuning, and physical AI with Dell Technologies
Research security and cybersecurity
Researcher spotlight sessions featuring UBC faculty and AI-related research
